DI provides technical assistance, analytical services and project implementation for democracy, human rights, governance and conflict mitigation programs worldwide for the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID), the U.S. State Department and other development partners. Duties
Intern responsibilities will include;
Assisting with expense reconciliation
Assisting with office administration and ordering office supplies
Provide support to the accounting department by reconciling monthly billing statements;
Ensure compliance with DI protocols for receipt of cash deliveries from the bank; and
Assist staff with shipping needs and billing shipping charges appropriately.
Qualifications
Experience in operational and administrative support and backstopping;
Strong organizational skills and ability to handle multiple demands, prioritize and produce high quality work under pressure;
Commitment to accuracy in all tasks and attention to detail and follow up is essential;
Ability to work in a small office with other staff members on multiple, simultaneous projects;
Ability to take initiative, function independently and exercise good judgment;
Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications, basic hardware setup and maintenance;
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; and
Experience with expense reporting and reimbursement processing preferred.
