About the organization

At Tutor Corps and Pacific Preparatory, we believe in the power of 1:1 education in order to support students holistically and inspire a love of learning, confidence, and self-advocacy. Our organization comprises three branches: our accredited homeschool Pacific Preparatory, our after-school tutoring program Tutor Corps, and our nonprofit scholarship program through the Tutor Corps Foundation. We strive to inspire a love of learning in students of all backgrounds and abilities and provide exceptional instruction in all K-12 subjects.

Duties

We’re looking for thoughtful, dedicated tutors and teachers who value creating meaningful relationships with their students. We take a holistic approach to our work, prioritizing social-emotional learning alongside academic achievement.

We are currently hiring for the following roles:

For in-person instruction, we are looking for K-12 educators who can tutor students in San Francisco, on the Peninsula, or in the South Bay.

For online or in-home instruction, we are prioritizing instructors who can tutor high-level math and science. Subjects include Algebra 1 and 2, Trigonometry, Geometry, Pre-calculus, AP Calculus, AP and college level microeconomics and macroeconomics, AP and college level Chemistry, Biology, Physics, and Computer Science.

Qualifications

Instructors who work with us have a minimum of one year of instructional experience, hold a bachelor’s degree, have superb written and verbal communication skills, and can confidently use Zoom and online teaching tools.

Teaching credentials are a bonus but not required. Experience working with students who have learning differences is an added benefit.

Salary

$25-$70/hour DOE and location
