Project Manager, Sudan

Duties

The Project Manager, Sudan will oversee project implementation to ensure smooth, timely, and effective implementation of an 18-month project focused on enhancing information integrity.

The Project Manager will be the main point of contact for this award and will work with the Sudan team and coordinate across MENA (Middle East and North Africa) departments. LOGISTICS This position may be based remotely in the MENA region.

Our ideal candidate is located in Uganda, Kenya, Tunisia, or Morocco.

Please note that there are some locations in which Internews is unable to engage staff, and that candidates must possess independent work authorization in their present location. Qualifications

Required

  • At least 5 years' experience in project management and implementation in development and human rights sector with international organizations.
  • Bachelor's degree in humanities, political or social science, international affairs, business administration, or related field OR equivalent lived/professional experience.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic is required.
  • Previous experience with EU donors is preferred.
    • Preferred Note: Candidates who do not have these preferred qualifications, but who are interested and willing to learn, are encouraged to apply.
  • Knowledge of the Sudanese political context.
  • Knowledge of the media development sector.
  • Thematic knowledge related to enhancing information integrity.
  • Experience organizing training workshops and conferences.
