About North Country HealthCare AZ

North Country HealthCare is the primary community health center in the area. In 1991, a small group of doctors and nurses, health and human service representatives and consumers worked together to establish the Flagstaff Community Free Clinic. In 1996, the clinic transitioned from a volunteer organization into a state and federally funded community health center. Today, North Country HealthCare serves 11 communities across Northern Arizona, providing quality, evidence based, medical care to all while building healthier communities.

We provide Family Medicine, Pediatrics, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Dental, Physical Therapy, and Behavioral Health services to the under-served population throughout northern Arizona. We believe in practicing integrative care in an inclusive culture. We treat some of the most vulnerable rural populations in the United States while supporting North Country's mission. We are proud of our Family Medicine Physician Residency, our medical education programs, and our passionate team. Payson is a town of 16,000 people located about 90 miles northeast of Phoenix, Arizona. Have the benefit of small town mountain living with the amenities of a major city in Phoenix AZ only an 90 minutes away. It is home to Tonto National Bridge in the shadow of the Mogollon Rim, which geographically divides the southern and northern halves of the state. This creates diverse habitats of cool pine forests, high-elevation lakes, canyons, and a warmer desert climate. Locals enjoy various outdoor activities, including hiking, biking, snow, and water sports. If you are passionate about caring for the underserved population, let's talk! Attractive total compensation package ranging from $205,000.00 to $225,000.00 dependent on program incentives


To become a part of our dedicated clinic team, you need the following qualifications: MD or DO degree and completed a Family Medicine or Internal Medicine residency Board eligible or board certified in Family Medicine or Internal Medicine Prefer working at an FQHC, CHC, or PCMH facility
