2016 Blog it Home contest: Congratulations to the winners!

Thank you for supporting Peace Corps’ 4th annual Blog it Home competition! More than 11,000 votes were cast for the 20 finalists.

Judging criteria

Blog it Home entries are judged based on the following criteria:

  • Demonstrated commitment to increasing cross-cultural understanding:  40%
  • Cultural richness of blog:  30%
  • Quality of writing: 15%  
  • Quality of media content: 15%

Nearly 1,000 Volunteer blogs have been submitted since Blog it Home began in 2013. Our Peace Corps blogs have reached nearly 1 million people through this contest alone! Here some of the winners from previous years who inspired, educated, and shared their blogs with people all around the world.
