Partners

Since its start, Peace Corps North Macedonia has collaborated closely with many national government partners and national organizations and networks. These national partners support our implementation of the project plans for our English Education and Community Development programs. 

Ministry of Education and Science 

Since 1996, we have been working with the Ministry of Education and Science to improve English language education in North Macedonia.  Peace Corps Volunteers work with local teachers in primary and secondary schools across the country.  

Ministry of Local Self-Government 

Since 2005, we have been working with the Ministry of Local Self-Government to support community development initiatives in North Macedonia. Volunteers serve in local municipality offices throughout the country. 

Ministry of Labor and Social Policy 

We collaborate with the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy to support people with special needs. Volunteers work at kindergartens, non-profits, and state-funded daily centers. 


National Red Cross Macedonia 

The Red Cross and Peace Corps both share a focus and commitment to raise the capacities of youth through youth clubs. Peace Corps Volunteers work in local Red Cross branches across the country. 

Agency for Youth and Sports 

We have been working with the Agency for Youth and Sport since 2016 to increase opportunities for youth by increasing the capacity of local youth councils across the country. 

National Youth Council of Macedonia (NYCM)

We work with the NYCM to support the training and placement of Peace Corps Volunteers with youth- focused organizations.

Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA 

We work with the Coalition of Youth Organizations SEGA to implement the North Macedonia Model United Nations (MMUN) program. 

YMCA Bitola 

We have been working with YMCA Bitola since 2012 to implement Girls Leading Our World (GLOW) and the Young Men’s Leadership Project (YMLP) to promote healthy lifestyles, arts and culture, and to develop positive values and attitudes among young people.
