Peace Corps/Mozambique is seeking to hire a TEFL Technical trainer. The Education Technical Trainer (TEFL/TT) will be an instrumental part of the Peace Corps training team responsible for helping to design PST for the Peace Corps Education Program.

The TEFL/TT will be directly responsible for:

  1. Collaborating, co-facilitating, and supporting the PTS/Ed on the implementation of the technical training component of PST.
  2. Helping to design, plan, and implement the practicum component of the TEFL Technical training.

Job opening: HEALTH TECHNICAL TRAINER

Peace Corps/Mozambique is seeking to hire a HEALTH Technical Trainer. The Health Technical Trainer (HTT) will be an instrumental part of a Peace Corps training team responsible for helping to design a nine-week Pre-service Training program (PST) for the Peace Corps health project.

The HTT will be directly responsible for:

  1. Collaborating, co-facilitating, and supporting the Programming and Training Specialist (PTS/HE) on the implementation of the technical training component of PST.
  2. Helping to design, plan, and implement the practicum component of the Health Technical training.

Job opening: Temporary Driver & Logistics Assistant

Peace Corps/Mozambique is seeking to hire a Temporary Driver and Logistics Assistant. This position is based in Namaacha. Under the immediate Supervision of Training Logistics Coordinator and Training Manager . The Driver/Logistics Assistant will transport staff, PCVs and PCTs to and in Namaacha on a daily basis. S/he assures that vehicles are properly maintained and operated according to Peace Corps and USG guidelines and to manufacturer specifications. As an important member of the Peace Corps training team, the PST Driver and Logistics Assistant is responsible for logistical support related to all training events, including the preparation of events, training hub locations, and houses for Trainee homestay families, and procurement and inventory of supplies, books, furniture and equipment. S/he will perform other logistical duties as stated below. This is a temporary assignment for the contracted period only.

Job opening: Language and Cultural Facilitator

Peace Corps/Mozambique is seeking to hire a Language and Cultural Facilitator. The LCF works closely with a small group of Trainees (5 – 6) throughout the duration of PST. S/he conducts language training classes, following a prescribed curriculum, and effectively uses a variety of language training techniques, methodologies, and activities. LCFs work closely with the Language/Cross-Cultural Coordinator (LCC) to design, plan, deliver, and evaluate cross-cultural training activities. LCFs participate in the evaluation of the language training program and the overall assessment of Trainees’ language performance. The LCF also serves as cultural information resources for Trainees, facilitates Trainees’ cross-cultural learning, and supports the host family stay. LCFs provide support and guidance as needed throughout the 27-month Volunteer cycle through recommending training resources and Language Proficiency Testing at select times. The LCF works directly with Peace Corps Staff, partners, and PCVs and supports the U. S. Peace Corps mission in Mozambique in the following main areas:

Language Training 50%

Cross Culture training 30%

Safety and Security 20%.
