In Malawi, girls are more likely to become brides than they are to graduate secondary school. In addition to this, there is a wide-spread myth that girls cannot excel in STEM subjects. To combat this, our Education Volunteers put on STEM camps. At these camps, the girls (or boys) who attend are able to get the individualized attention, access to resources and equipment, and the support that they may not see at their own schools or at their own homes.
