Happy Father's Day to our American dads! Historically, only Mother's Day is celebrated in Malawi; this is largely due to wide-spread assumptions that mothers are the more involved parent in their children's lives. Our "Dads and Daughters" video shows that Malawian fathers also have a very important role to play as parents, and many of them are willing to encourage and support their girls. Happy unofficial Father's Day to all of the Malawian dads invested in the upbringing of their children!
