Kristi Raube, Country Director
Kristi joined the Peace Corps/Liberia team in 2018 after a career in academia, most recently at the Haas School of Business, University of California, Berkeley. Kristi spent her career teaching and researching health and poverty issues, and her work has taken her from the housing projects of Chicago to villages across Africa and Asia.
At Berkeley-Haas, Kristi was a key architect of programs that combined the study of business with the broader goals of healthcare access, poverty reduction, and social justice. Kristi began her career with the Peace Corps in Africa, first as a volunteer in Zaire (now the Democratic Republic of Congo) and later in Togo. She earned a Bachelors from the University of Colorado Boulder, a Masters in Public Health from the University of California, Los Angeles, and a PhD in Public Policy Analysis from the Pardee RAND Graduate School.
Kristi is excited to lead the Peace Corps/Liberia program in promoting world peace and friendship.
