Video: Hospitality in The Gambia

This is the story of an object that has an important place in The Gambia's culture of hospitality: the food bowl.

This video was created as part of the Peace Corps Week Video Challenge "Highlighting Hospitality," in which Peace Corps Volunteers captured examples of hospitality in the host communities where they lived and worked. Communal meals are an important part of The Gambian culture, as everyone gathers together to eat in a circle.
