Spicy Plantains

Plantains with ginger, onion, and heat.


  • 3 medium plantains (peeled and chopped into 1/2 inch pieces)
  • 1 small onion (finely diced)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger (finely grated)
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon spicy chili pepper or hot sauce of choice
  • Oil


  • Mix all ingredients in a large bowl.
  • Pan fry in batches until plantains are golden brown.
  • Serve hot.
