A thick cornmeal porridge.
- 3 cups corn meal
- 3 1/2 cup water
- Mix 1 1/2 cups water and 1 1/2 cups cornmeal together.
- Bring remaining 2 cups water to a boil and add cornmeal and water mixture.
- Let simmer for 10-15 minutes.
- Add remaining cornmeal and cook for 5 minutes until pâté is thick.
- Serve hot with hot sauce or other savory sauce of choice like Beninese Red Sauce.
