Gado-Gado (Javanese Salad)
A salad made from fresh and steamed vegetables, topped with peanut sauce.
Note: Gado-gado is incredibly flexible. The basic ingredients are vegetables and creamy peanut sauce. Beyond that, you can use your imagination.
Ingredients:
- Blanched/steamed vegetables
- Fresh Vegetables
Suggestions (cooked):
- Long green beans, cut into 4-5 cm long
- Chinese cabbage, shredded
- Bean sprouts
Suggestions (fresh):
- Lettuce
- Tomato, wedged
- Cucumber, sliced
Other Complements:
- Boiled/steamed potatoes, sliced
- Boiled eggs, wedged
- Fried/baked tempe
- Fried/baked tofu
- Lontong (rice cake with log shape), cut into 1 cm thick slices
- Ready-to-use fried shallot
- Melinjo nut crackers
- Gado-gado sauce
Directions
- If you're using lontong, put the slices in the bottom.
- On top of that layer cooked vegetables, fresh vegetables, tofu, tempe, egg, and
- potato.
- Pour gado-gado sauce over the top.
- Sprinkle with fried shallots and serve with melinjo if desired.

- Telur rebus
- Tempe goreng
- Tahu goreng
- Lontong
- Bawang merah goreng
- Melinjo
- Saus gado-gado
Cara Membuat
- Isis lontong dan tahur di piring.
- Kasi sayuran, tempe, tahu, dan telur semau Anda.
- Kasi saus gado-gado.
- Makan dengan bawang putih goreng dan melinjo atau krupuk.
