Cambodian Fish Soup

A light fish soup with lemongrass and mint.


  • 1/2 pound white fish (cut into strips)
  • 3 garlic cloves (minced)
  • 3 lemongrass stalks (chopped)
  • 8 fresh mint leaves
  • 2 tablespoons fish sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon salt


  • In a large saucepan, bring water, salt, garlic, lemongrass, and fish sauce to a boil.
  • Once boiling, reduce heat and add fish.
  • Cook for 15 minutes, then add lemon juice and mint leaves.
  • Serve hot.
