About this program

We are a faith-based school of public health which offers a variety of distinct on-campus and online programs. With over 50 years of experience, graduates are prepared to be expert public health practitioners in the areas of Epidemiology, Global Health, Healthcare Administration, Health Education/Wellness Coaching, Plant-based Nutrition, and Population Medicine. We offer three online Dr PH programs in the areas of Preventive Care, Health Education, and Health Policy and Leadership, and one on-campus PhD program in Nutrition. Our programs and learning experiences will empower you to make a difference for communities and individuals. Our Mission is to create learning experiences for each generation. We translate scientific discovery into action, improve health, spread hope and promote wholeness from our neighborhood to yours.

Application requirements

Each program has slightly different requirements. The follow example is given for MPH Students. Please contact the SPH Admissions Office [email protected] for specific details on other programs.

  • A baccalaureate degree or equivalent from a regionally accredited institution, with a G.P.A. of 3.0 or above. 
  • Satisfactory performance in the Graduate Record Examination (G.R.E.) or equivalent; scores must have been attained within the last five years. Other scores are acceptable. Please contact the admissions office for details. 
  • Applicant may be interviewed by program directors and/or faculty.

Cost savings details

The value of the Coverdell Fellowship is 30% of the tuition cost which includes the entire cost of the practicum (if not waived entirely).


The School of Public Health is highly involved in working with the underserved populations within the southern California region, from migrant workers in the Coachella Valley to the communities in San Bernardino. The fellow will be accepted to work with the University Fellowship coordinator and professors who are engaged in community projects to choose a focus that aligns with the fellow’s program of study. This will provide leadership opportunities and more experience specific to their area of focus.
