The students, who are all deaf, are active participants in sports such as volleyball, football, and track and field. These sports events occur during the month of November and January. However, the sports resources that are currently available have been held on for more than 30 years and are, therefore, worn out. This project seeks to procure new sports resources for the students in order to improve the positive effects of physical activities/competitions. The resources include: jerseys for soccer, volleyball, and track and field events, running shoes and knee guards. It is expected that the purchase of these resources and the active engagement of the students in sports activities will inspire the development of their talents/skills and also create awareness regarding the positive relationship between sports and health.
