Refurnished Theater Hall

Project by Michaela Niva, Volunteer from New Jersey
Kyrgyz Republic Education

Description

The purpose of this grant is to enrich the community’s cultural and educational landscape by equipping the school’s theater with essential items. Currently, high rental fees for basic equipment burden teachers financially, limiting access and reducing audience engagement during performances. By acquiring new seating, speakers, and microphones, the aim is to create an inviting space for artistic expression and ensure all students can fully participate in their peers’ presentations.

Leveraging community contributions and collaboration with educators, the grant's impact will be maximized by utilizing existing resources and expertise. This project addresses immediate needs while building long-term capacity, providing community members with valuable experience in grant management and implementation. Funding is essential to purchase the necessary equipment and realize the community's vision. The project's sustainability is guaranteed by the community’s strong commitment to maintaining the theater hall and by annual training sessions on using the new equipment, ensuring ongoing access and enjoyment for all.
