This project is led by Abigail Lenz, a Volunteer from Colorado

The objective of this project involves the expansion of the current school library with the hope of developing a sustainable reading culture for the community. This grant aims to tackle two pressing issues: limited student access to books and low literacy levels within the school. Enhancing the library will improve book availability for all, leading to improved literacy levels and enhanced school performance.

This initiative involves establishing a reading program within the school, enhancing teacher skills and knowledge through a workshop, providing a secure environment for learners to read and explore books, and fostering a culture of enthusiastic learning. The library symbolizes a safe space for children, encouraging their curiosity and nurturing a passion for learning. Additionally, the local school community will actively participate by contributing land, labor, and books from the existing library, ensuring the sustainability and success of this transformative initiative.
