For the past twenty-five years, Peace Corps Volunteers in Armenia’s northern region, known as Lori, have been making strides to improve the English education of Armenian students and educators. 

TEFL Volunteers at three pilot posts began their training in 2014 with online courses, and in the two years since then, have participated in teacher training at their posts, taught English classes with host country partners, shared experiences with other Volunteers in communities of practice, honed their classroom skills, and much more.

Sometimes all it takes is one smile to make a Volunteer feel right at home.

There are nearly 7,000 active Peace Corps Volunteers, meaning approximately half of these people will return home this year when their two-year service is done. Those people will need jobs – and startup companies need those people.
