Passport and Visa Instructions for Peace Corps Response Volunteers
All Peace Corps Response Volunteers are required to travel on a Peace Corps passport (sometimes referred to as a No Fee passport). If you recently served as a Volunteer and have a valid Peace Corps passport, please consult with your recruiter to confirm that it can still be used for travel. Additionally, if you have a prior Peace Corps Passport you should submit this instead of your personal passport (even if it’s already expired) with your application.
Some Peace Corps Response countries require a visa for entry. Please click the link below (if applicable) to see instructions for your country of service.
All passport and visa (if needed) applications must be sent back to your recruiter who will submit for processing. Passports can take several weeks to be processed and visas are not processed until after passports are completed; therefore it is imperative that you return the applications to your recruiter as quickly as possible. Any delay in receiving these applications will put you at risk for not departing for service.
