The Host Country Impact Studies - Dataset Materials (2017) includes a zip file with dataset materials (dataset in Excel and SPSS, Codebook, and Technical Notes) merged from a 21 separate host country impact studies. These studies assessed the effectiveness of its Volunteers in achieving two of the Peace Corps' three strategic goals--building local capacity and sharing America with the world--from the perspectives of Volunteers' local partners or counterparts. This dataset was the basis for the study, “Peace Corps Work: A Cross-Sectional Analysis from 21 Host Country Impact Studies,” and includes 928 observations. This dataset was produced by the Office of Strategic Information, Research, and Planning (OSIRP).

Peace Corps Works: A Cross-Sectional Analysis is a report that seeks to better understand counterpart perspectives regarding Peace Corps' effectiveness in its Goal One and Goal Two work globally. This analysis was produced with data from the Host Country Impact Study, a cross-sectional study that assesses the effectiveness of its Volunteers in achieving two of the Peace Corps' three strategic goals--building local capacity and sharing America with the world--from the perspectives of Volunteers' local partners and community members.
