Water is not conserved or recycled. However, the people in the village know how to use the least amount of water to do certain activities. For example, the villagers use a small amount of water when washing dishes or doing laundry.

As far as I know from the six months I've spent at my site, there are no efforts to conserve water in my community. However, people do, in a way "conserve" the current supply by putting out buckets and any containers they can find to catch rainwater.
