Objectives

Participants will be able to:
  • provide an articulated rationale for including global issues and education in the curriculum
  • justify global awareness and understanding as “new literacies” for a changing world
  • develop lessons and units incorporating global awareness concepts
  • identify and select appropriate multi-media and print cross-cultural resources for inclusion in the taught curriculum
  • share new insights and strategies with colleagues to enhance learning experiences for students
