Directions coming from Ronald Reagan Washington National Airport, Arlington, VA
By car:
1. Take airport exit toward Washington , which puts you onto GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKY N
2. Take the WASHINGTON exit onto I-395 N
3. Bear LEFT at end of bridge onto US-1 N, which becomes 14TH STREET.
4. Continue on 14TH ST NW through town.
5. Turn LEFT on K ST NW
6. Turn RIGHT on 20th ST NW. (Note that because of construction in the parking lane, you are allowed to turn right from the main roadway, despite a sign to the contrary.) PEACE CORPS headquarters is located a block away, on the corner of 20th and L ST . The address is 1111 20th Street NW .
By Metro:
1. Depart from NATIONAL AIRPORT Metro Station. Take BLUE LINE train toward LARGO.
2. Arrive at FARRAGUT WEST Metro Station. Leave station using 18TH & I (EYE) ST NW exit.
3. Walk approximately 2 blocks N on 18th ST NW (in the direction of traffic).
4. Turn LEFT on L ST NW. Walk approx. 2 blocks W on L ST NW (against the direction of traffic).
5. Turn RIGHT on 20TH ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street .
Directions coming from Dulles International Airport, Dulles, VA
By car:
1. Take airport exit onto DULLES AIRPORT ACCESS RD toward Washington .
2. Take Dulles Access Road to end and merge onto ROUTE 66 EAST.
3. Take ROUTE 66 all the way across Potomac River to Washington, D.C.
4. At end of bridge over river, take first exit on LEFT. That exit splits immediately. Take the right fork onto E STREET.
5. Take E STREET under tunnel to first light.
6. Turn LEFT on 20TH ST NW
7. About seven blocks up, arrive at 1111 20TH ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street
By bus and Metro:
1. Dulles Airport Bus 5A stops at curb 2E
2. Take the bus toward L'ENFANT PLAZA
3. Get off bus at ROSSLYN Metro (subway) station
4. Take either ORANGE LINE toward NEW CARROLLTON or BLUE LINE toward LARGO TOWN CENTER
5. Arrive at FARRAGUT WEST Metro Station. Exit station using 18TH & I (EYE) ST NW exit
6. Walk approximately 2 blocks N on 18TH ST NW (in the direction of traffic).
7. Turn LEFT on L ST NW. Walk approximately 2 blocks W on L ST NW (against the direction of traffic).
8. Turn RIGHT on 20TH ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street .
Directions coming from Baltimore/Washington International Airport, Crofton, MD
By car :
1. Exit the airport. Bear LEFT on I – 195 W
2. Take exit # 2B/ BALT/WASH PKWY/WASHINGTON onto MD – 295 S
3. Take the WASHINGTON exit onto US – 50 W
4. Follow 50, which becomes NEW YORK AVENUE, for several miles.
5. Bear RIGHT in front of the huge Convention Center.
6. At the end of the Convention Center, turn LEFT on 9TH ST NW
7. Turn RIGHT on K STREET almost immediately.
8. Take K STREET to 20TH ST NW. (Note that because of construction in the parking lane, you are allowed to turn right from the main roadway, despite a sign to the contrary.) PEACE CORPS headquarters is located a block away.
9. Arrive at 1111 20TH ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST.
By bus/Metro :
1. Take bus B30 toward GREENBELT Metro Station
2. Arrive at GREENBELT Metro Station
3. Take GREEN LINE toward BRANCH AVE
4. Arrive at FORT TOTTEN Metro Station
5. Change trains and take RED LINE toward SHADY GROVE
6. Arrive at FARRAGUT NORTH Metro Station
7. Exit station using CONNECTICUT AVE & L ST NW exit
8. Walk approximately 3 blocks W on L ST NW (against the direction of traffic).
9. Turn RIGHT on 20TH ST NW
10. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street .
Directions coming from Union Station
By car :
1. Go W on MASSACHUSETTS AVE NE
2. MASSACHUSETTS AVE NE becomes MASSACHUSETTS AVE NW almost immediately.
3. MASSACHUSETTS AVE NW becomes K ST NW
4. K ST NW becomes NEW YORK AVE NW
5. Turn SLIGHT RIGHT onto I ( EYE) ST NW
6. After about eight blocks, turn RIGHT onto 20TH ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street .
By Metro :
1. Depart from UNION STATION Metro Station. Take a RED LINE toward SHADY GROVE
2. Arrive at the FARRAGUT NORTH Metro Station. Exit station using CONNECTICUT AVE and L ST NW
3. Walk approximately 3 blocks WEST on L ST NW against the direction of traffic.
4. Turn RIGHT on 20th ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street .
Directions coming from the East
By car :
1. Take MD-295 S
2. Merge onto US – 50 W/ NEW YORK AVE NE toward WASHINGTON (crossing into District of Columbia )
3. Follow 50, which becomes NEW YORK AVENUE , for several miles.
4. Bear RIGHT in front of the huge Convention Center.

Directions coming from the West
By car :
1. Take I-495 S/ CAPITAL BELTWAY (crossing into VIRGINIA )
2. Take exit 43–44 toward GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKWY / VA -193 / GEORETOWN PIKE/ LANGLEY / GREAT FALLS
3. Take the GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKWY exit 43 – toward WASHINGTON
4. Merge onto GEORGE WASHINGTON MEMORIAL PKWY S
5. Take the US-29 N exit toward KEY BRIDGE / WASHINGTON
6. Take sharp exit off bridge, BEFORE end of bridge, onto ramp that puts you onto raised Whitehurst Freeway.
7. Keep to left on Whitehurst Freeway (do not go right onto E STREET exit).
8. Freeway turns into K STREET NW . Take K STREET under tunnel.
9. At second traffic light, turn LEFT onto 20TH ST NW. PEACE CORPS headquarters is located one block away on the corner of 20th and L ST at 1111 20th Street .
Parking
There are a number of paid parking structures around the block. Unfortunately, there is no visitor parking available at the Peace Corps Headquarters.
