Recipe: Chicken or Pork Adobo

Introduction

 

This is a popular dish among Filipinos and also to local backpackers. 

Materials & Procedures

Materials

  1. 1 kilo of pork or chicken
  2. 1 c of vinegar
  3. ¾ c soy sauce
  4. ¼ tsp. peppercorn
  5. 1 clove garlic
  6. Cooking oil

Procedures

  1. Mix all ingredients in a pan and allow to boil.
  2. Simmer over low fire until the meat is tender.
  3. Remove remaining sauce from the pan.
  4. Add a little cooking oil and fry the meat until it turns golden brown.
  5. Return sauce to pan and simmer for two or more minutes.
  6. Remove from fire and let it cool.
  7. Serve with rice.
