The three-year Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Creative Writing program offers workshops with award-winning faculty writers in fiction, poetry, and creative nonfiction and memoir. The MFA Program at Georgia College is the only graduate creative writing program in the country to participate in the Peace Corps Fellows Program. Peace Corps Fellows who are accepted to the MFA program are awarded fellowships that relate to their experience and training in the Peace Corps. Peace Corps Fellows help to organize and mentor the Georgia College Early College working-in-the-schools project.
The MFA engages students in creative writing across the writing genres, teaching undergraduates, working on the English Department journals, and participating in a community outreach program for writing.
