"As a community development Volunteer, I worked with an organization to inspire disabled individuals to gain more self-esteem, have fun, and add a more positive image of disabled citizens in Kazakhstan. Events like the wheelchair dancing don't give them back an ability to walk, but they do create an environment for people with disabilities to live independently. Rather than being both an internal and external stigma, these events show everyone that disabilities don't need to hold someone back and that anyone can succeed and be beautiful."
As part of Perry's work, he participated in a national competition to help inspire people living with disabilities, which aired on Kazakhstan television. Watch video
