Mary Ann Camp

Volunteer in Malawi

"During nursing school and 35 years of working in pediatrics, I always had in the back of my mind joining the Peace Corps. Finally, at 60, it happened. I worked in health education in Malawi, teaching about AIDS. Almost every person in this village knew someone who had died of AIDS. The economy, schools, and churches were affected. HIV/AIDS education is essential to the future of this country."
