Mali

There are 5 Peace Corps Response volunteers in Mali working with their communities on projects in health and economic development. During their service in Mali, volunteers learn to speak local  languages, including: Bambara, Bomu, Dogon, French, Fulfudé, Khassonke, Malinke, Minianka, Senoufou, Sonrai, Soninke and Tamashek. More than 2,605 Peace Corps volunteers have served in Mali since the program was established in 1971.
