Celebrate Peace Corps Week with a currently serving Volunteer.   Please attend this special event during Peace Corps Week and hear from currently serving Peace Corps Volunteers.  Our Peace Corps Voulunteer speakers will share firsthand what it is like to serve overseas, discuss their programs, and answer questions via a live video chat from their Host country.

In addition, the President of the University of Miami, Donna Shalala,  will share her experiences as a volunteer and the positive influence Peace Corps service had on her career.  Acting Peace Corps Director Carrie Hessler-Radelet will also be recognizing President Shalala for 50 years of service since she completed her service in Iran.

by Peace Corps and the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida (RPCVSF.)   It is free and open to the public.

Directions to the Toppel Career Center:

There is plenty of free parking available in the Pavia Garage directly across from the Toppel Career Center.  (Campus parking is free after 4pm.)   From US 1, enter campus on Stanford Drive.  Make the first left past the information booth and then the next right.  The parking garage is on your left.  After parking walk back towards US 1 and you will see the Toppel Career Center.  The event will be held on the second floor.    The Toppel Career Center is just north of the University Metrorail Station on Ponce de Leon Blvd.

Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to be immersed in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. The best way to know if you qualify for Peace Corps service is to apply.
