Description

Peace Corps Week celebrates President Kennedys establishment of the Peace Corps on March 1, 1961, and all the ways Peace Corps service makes a difference abroad and at home, and for the thousands of Volunteers who have served. Stop by the Peace Corps table down by the POs in the lower level of the Campus Center to learn more about why Peace Corps needs you to be part of the next generation to promote global peace and friendship. Talk to a local representative about opportunities to live, learn, and work with a community overseas.  Join us for an Information Session later that day in Johnson Student Union, Linner Lounge starting at 4:30 p.m.

Peace Corps seeks applicants to fill thousands of program assignments around the world. As a Peace Corps Volunteer, you will make a difference in the lives of others and your own by helping a community in need, gaining valuable cross-cultural skills, and becoming a citizen of the world. Submit an online application by March 1 for the best opportunity to match your skills to remaining assignment openings for 2014.

About the Peace Corps: Read more or watch a video about how Peace Corps service makes a difference for the communities served, the volunteers themselves, and here in the U.S. Learn what it's like to be a Volunteer, including what Volunteers do, where they go, and the many benefits of Peace Corps service. Or apply now to begin your life-defining experience.
