OSU, Peace Corps, and USAID: How Beavers are Feeding the Future
Oregon State University
Construction and Engineering Hall, LaSells Stewart Center
This spring, Peace Corps and USAID are bringing the Campus Food Security Tour to select universities around the country. The tour seeks to engage students in the greater food security and sustainable development dialogue by connecting them to top Innovation Labs across the country and introducing them to the whole of government Feed the Future initiative. The tour kicks off this fall at The University of Georgia, followed by visits to: Michigan State University, Oregon State University, Virginia Polytechnic University, and Colorado State University. Each unique event will bring together leaders in international development and agriculture for dynamic presentations, open forum discussions, and a Sustainability Fair featuring local organizations, campus groups, and academic departments all focused on food security and sustainability.
Oregon State University is at the forefront in addressing global food security. Come hear about cutting-edge research and participate in the discussion. Immediately following the presentation, Peace Corps will host a reception with campus groups and local non-profit organizations that are working towards a more sustainable future. Come Learn how YOU can be involved in the fight against global hunger. Pizza will be served.
