Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime.
- Join us to hear from a currently-serving Peace Corps Environmental Awareness Volunteer while he is briefly vacationing in Atlanta, before he returns to continue his service in Peru. He will be speaking about his experiences thus far, including language and cultural learning, safety and security, environmental projects, health, living conditions, transportation, communication with family, etc.
- Peace Corps Recruiter and former Health Volunteer in Malawi, Becky Ament, will be available to talk about the benefits of Peace Corps and how to be a competitive candidate.
- MedShare Director of Finance & Human Resources and former Peace Corps Volunteer, Stephanie Greene, will discuss local volunteer opportunities with MedShare, a nonprofit organization dedicated to improving healthcare and the environment through the collection and redistribution of the U.S. surplus of medical supplies to those most in need overseas.
- This event is free and open to the public, and it takes place at MedShare in Decatur, GA.
