Description

Make a difference in the lives of others and your own. Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to help a community in need, immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. Join us as we kickoff Peace Corps Week, hosted by The Ohio State University Peace Corps Office and the OSU PC Club.  Peace Corps Week commemorates the date President John F. Kennedy signed the executive order to establish Peace Corps, and it provides us an opportunity to celebrate and promote world peace and friendship.

Come help us celebrate the Peace Corps legacy of making a difference, and find out how you can become a part of its future.  You can meet and talk to former volunteers about their experiences and hear from current volunteers via Skype to find out what daily life is like in the Peace Corps.  You will gain tips to guide you through the application process.  Also, you will meet the members of the PC Club and learn how to get involved in your community now.  Youll also get valuable insight on how Peace Corps service can launch your career.  If youd love to travel, learn new languages and help others abroad, this could be the first step of an exciting journey.

Become a Fan at OSU Peace Corps Facebook and stay updated on monthly events at OSU.

Peace Corps is filling thousands of program assignments around the world. Submit an online application by February 28 at www.peacecorps.gov/apply to be considered for an assignment departing in 2013.
