Do you have lingering questions about the application process? Are you curious what pre-service training will be like? Are you interested in connecting with others who are experiencing the same ups and downs as yourself?
At the event, connect with Returned Peace Corps Volunteers and Peace Corps staff to learn about their overseas experiences and answer your personal questions about the application process, living and working overseas, and any other issues that concern you.
At this event, we will also be congratulating future volunteers who are about to begin their service and those who are still in the nomination process. Current applicants and potential applicants are also welcome to attend to get their questions answered and to meet Returned Volunteers.
Please RSVP to this event before May 15, 2013 so we can make sure we have enough food! Email your RSVP to Steve Hunsicker or call 305-929-3066. Families and Friends are encouraged to attend.
Note: The park charges an entrance fee of $6.00 per car of two or more people. Cars with one occupant are $4.00 and there is a $2.00 charge for bicyclists. The park has bike trails, swimming and kayaking. The picnic will be in the Manatee Pavilion.
No Alcohol is permitted inside the park. We'll have sandwichs and drinks. Returned Volunteers are also asked to please bring a dish to share.
This event is co-sponsored Peace Corps and the Returned Peace Corps Volunteers of South Florida.
