Are you tired of just sitting back and learning about the world's problems? Malaria, poverty, disease, famine. The list goes on. There is a community overseas right now asking for your skills and expertise. You could help plant sustainable crops, help develop new sustainable sources of food, clean water sources, new latine infrastructure, knowledge of preventable diseases, and environmental knowledge. You could be teaching the future president of the host country English!
Make a difference in the lives of others and your own. Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to help a community in need, immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. Join us at this free event on Western Michigan's campus to learn about Volunteer experiences, have your questions answered, and gain tips to guide you through the application process. Registration is appreciated but not required to attend this event. No need to be a student to attend! Enjoy us! You'll love hearing the grass roots projects going on over-seas!
About the Peace Corps: Read more or watch a video about how Peace Corps service makes a difference for the communities served, the volunteers themselves, and here in the U.S. Learn what it's like to be a Volunteer, including what Volunteers do, where they go, and the many benefits of Peace Corps service.
