Description

Not sure what is next? How about serving a community in need either here at home or abroad?

Come learn more about unique, post-graduate service opportunities with Peace Corps and City Year at a joint information session on Thursday, March 27, 2014 at 7:00 p.m. Representatives from each organization will provide insight into their respective programs and how to apply.

City Year is an education focused, nonprofit organization and Americorps program that unites young people of all backgrounds for a year of full-time service to keep students in school and on track to graduation. City Year is working to bridge the gap in high-poverty communities between the support the students in the communities actually need, and what their schools are designed to provide. In doing so, they are helping to increase graduation rates across the country, and changing the lives of the students they serve.

For questions or inquiries about City Year, contact: Dawn Jackowski, City Year Recruitment Manager at djackowski@cityyear.org or

Peace Corps Volunteers make a difference by working as educators and trainers in schools, clinics, NGOs and community centers in over 65 countries. Volunteers commit 27 months to promoting peace and friendship and a better understanding between Americans and people of other countries.

Serving in the Peace Corps is a great way to help a community in need, immerse yourself in a new culture, learn a new language, and have the experience of a lifetime. Peace Corps service is the opportunity of a lifetime and offers two years of international experience upon graduation

Join us at this Information Session to learn about Volunteer experiences, have your questions answered, and gain tips to guide you through the application process from Regional Recruiter and Returned Peace Corps Volunteer, Julia Marsh (Mozambique 2009-2012). Email:jmarsh2@peacecorps.gov.
