  • Assignment Details

    Secondary Education English Teacher Volunteers in Ukraine teach conversational English, TEFL, or content-based English in middle and high schools. They share resources, develop teaching materials and curriculum with local teachers, and become involved in community- and school-based projects, such as facilitating workshops that introduce innovative language teaching approaches.

  • Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree in English, TEFL, or linguistics
    • Any bachelor's degree with state teaching certification in any discipline including English, TEFL, foreign language, art or social science
    • Any bachelor's degree with at least three months or 30 hours of English, TEFL, foreign language, or literacy tutoring experience with primary, middle school, high school, or adult students in classrooms or small group settings

Farming in Senegal
  • Assignment Details

    Agriculture Extension Agent Volunteers help Senegal achieve food security, combat malnutrition, and alleviate poverty through the provision of a large variety of agricultural products. Urban agriculture Volunteers help create income-generating employment opportunities, especially for women, and restore the environment through the recycling of urban organic and non-organic waste into useful products.

  • Qualifications

    • A bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum of 3 months of full-time experience in a large-scale commercial or family-run business, including vegetable gardening, nursery work or management, tree planting, tree care, urban forestry, livestock care or management, or fish cultivation/production;
      or one year of experience in a large-scale commercial or family-run business, including vegetable gardening, nursery work or management, tree planting, tree care, urban forestry, livestock care or management, or fish cultivation/production
    • French language skills a plus but not required

Timing:

  • Applications must be submitted by March 11th and will be considered in the order received.
  • A Peace Corps recruiter will contact you within 2 weeks of receipt of your email and submission of your application.
  • Invitations will be sent out by late May.
  • Invitees will depart for their assignments in late September.
