Here are some of the highlights from Peace Corps Week 2013

  • More than 45,000 students learned about other cultures from returned Peace Corps Volunteers who shared their unique experiences in classroom presentations across the United States.
  • Returned Volunteers demonstrated their professionalism and cross-cultural knowledge in nearly 80 workplaces around the country during the second annual Take an RPCV to Work Day.
  • Peace Corps Volunteers blogged about their experience, focusing on a different theme each day of the week.
  • Returned Volunteers wrote daily letters to the editor of their local newspapers, using the Peace Corps Week themes.
  • Peace Corps' Third Goal Twitter account came to life – @pcthirdgoal – as Peace Corps supporters from around the world contributed to the #pcweek2013 conversation.
