About the Award
Cornel School of Contemporary Music (CSCM) is giving away 15 scholarships of up to $80,000.00 each at their first annual Cornel Live Performance Scholarship Fund on December 6th-7th, 2013. The Scholarships will be awarded to students who demonstrate remarkable talent and potential in any one of the five areas: piano/keyboard, guitar, bass, drums, and vocal performance.
A cutting-edge music school equipped with the latest technology and staffed with some of the most well-respected professionals in the industry, CSCM offers both Bachelor and Master of Music degrees. Within the last few years, the school's growing reputation for innovative teaching, along with its alumni of world-class musicians have drawn much attention from young, aspiring artists in Los Angeles and around the world. As a result, the Cornel Live Performance Scholarship Fund was created to give students a chance to make their dreams come true by going to a school that is tailored to their needs and their talents.
Students interested in auditioning for the scholarship will perform two pieces from a list provided by CSCM, a third piece of their own choice, as well as submitting a personal essay. All scholarship winners will receive full tuition for the Bachelor or Master of Arts Degree programs.
In addition, all applicants will be reviewed for further scholarship awards regardless of the outcome of the audition.
All individuals of 16 years of age or above are welcome to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship event is a LIVE AUDITION, so all applicants must be present on campus December 6th-7th.
