About the Award

The Central European University (CEU) School of Public Policy located in Budapest will award several Peace Corps Scholarships to returned Peace Corps Volunteers who are accepted into the two-year Master of Public Administration program.

The MPA degree curriculum is focused on the study and practice of global public policy. CEU is an English-language, US graduate university located in Budapest and accredited in both, the United States and Hungary. The Master of Public Administration program is registered and accredited in the State of New York.

Recipients of the Peace Corps Scholarship will receive a half tuition scholarship for each year of study (or an approximate total value of USD $19,720).

All scholarships are awarded on a merit basis. Candidates must meet the following eligibility requirements:

  • Possess at least a B.A./B.S.
  • Completed Peace Corps service prior to enrollment.
  • Submit a completed online application by January 23, 2014.
  • GRE test scores (optional).

Applicants applying for the Peace Corps Scholarship must submit an online application and indicate the dates when he/she served in the Peace Corps in the employment section of the application. Additionally, former volunteers should submit proof of Peace Corps volunteer service (i.e. letter of recommendation from a Peace Corps representative, letter from the Peace Corps documenting completion of service, etc.).
