The Social Security Administration, Office ofthe General Counsel, Office of Privacy and Disclosure is recruiting Government Information Specialist at the GS-7-9 grades. We are looking for people with the ability to evaluate, analyze, and interpret requests for information based on the Privacy Act, FOIA, and other Federal statutes and mandates impacting privacy policy. Skill in communicating privacy and disclosure policy, both orally and in writing important. 4. Ability to analyze requests for information from different sources and provide responses through interpretation of the Privacy Act, FOIA, and other disclosure policies and regulations and provide recommendations to management.


  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Competency in analyzing issues, writing, and communicating.
  • Prefer some legal training.

Location Details

The position is located in Woodlawn, Maryland outside of Baltimore. Candidates must have the ability to telework part-time. There are no relocation expenses.
