Fellows will receive staff support in identifying and generating diverse summer internships in fields and locations of Fellows' choices. These internships typically provide stipends of $3750 on a 50-50 basis of Cornell and employer matching funds.

Description

All students must complete the basic core curriculum for the Masters of Regional Planning (MRP). Fellows will spend their first year in the MRP program in the classroom completing core course requirements and augmenting these skills with relevant elective courses. During the summer between their first and second years, program participants receive staff support identifying and obtaining diverse summer internships in fields and locations of their choice. These internships typically provide stipends of $3,750 to be awarded on a 50-50 basis, combining Cornell and employer matching funds. Following the completion of their internships, Fellows will return to campus to complete their second and final year of coursework for the MRP degree. Often, the Fellows' summer experiences becomes the basis for their final exit projects (theses, client-oriented projects, or research papers).
