Benefits
Admitted Fellows are guaranteed a minimum of a $8,000 per-year award (for a maximum of 2 years) and will receive full consideration for additional merit-based awards based on the strength of their application. The Fels Institute also helps place Fellows in paid internships in area nonprofits, local government, and school systems during the academic year.
Description
The University of Pennsylvania's Fels Institute of Government, founded in 1937 by Philadelphia industrialist Samuel S. Fels, offers one of the nation's oldest and most distinguished graduate programs in public service. The Institute's commitment to public service is reflected in its alumni, who can be found managing the operations of cities, states, federal government agencies, nonprofit and international organizations, and related private firms.
Requirements
On-line application, official transcripts from all undergraduate and graduate schools attended, three letters of recommendation (at least one from an academic source), and GRE/LSAT/GMAT scores.
