The MA in International and Intercultural Communication (IIC) prepares individuals to understand, describe, and facilitate all modes of communication and media in local and global contexts. Offered through an interdisciplinary partnership between the School of Media, Film, and Journalism Studies and the Josef Korbel School of International Studies, this program allows students to choose courses from both schools and develop their own areas of concentration, including Conflict Management, Development Communication, Human Rights, International/Intercultural Training, International Politics, International Print, Broadcast, and Online Journalism, International/Intercultural Public Relations and Marketing, Technology and Management, Technology and Telecommunications Policy, and Web Site Development and Management. This degree also allows students to take advantage of electives in other departments, as well as internships, to develop expertise in their fields of interest.
Applicants should submit a completed application form along with two official transcripts from all colleges/universities attended, three letters of reference, a personal statement of goals and objectives, a current resume, and Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores.
