Fellows receive up to $20,000 in tuition support, need-based scholarship, Work Study and AmeriCorps opportunities, and paid internships at government and nonprofit organizations in southern Arizona and Mexico border area. Fellows participate in professional development and community service activities.
Description
Civil Engineering faculty research foci include Geomechanics and Geotechnical, Transportation, Engineering Mechanics, Hydraulics and Hydrology, and Structures. Environmental Engineering specializes in innovation in technology development in energy, environmental technology, biotechnology and nano-scale device manufacturing. Requirements
Apply online to the academic program, as well as to the Fellows program. Applicants must be admitted by The University of Arizona Graduate College and selected for admission to the Fellows program. Fellows carry out a 450 hour internship each year, and participate in community service projects and professional development opportunities. Renewal of funding depends on academic progress and meeting service obligations.
