Benefits

The Graduate School will match department tuition funds for MI student assistantships whenever possible.  MI students are eligible for in-state tuition.  The additional benefit is that after the completion of 24 course credits in the first year of the MS-AES program, students can fulfill the internship requirements of the degree with the 27 months of Peace Corps service.

Description

Clemson University's College of Agriculture, Forestry and Life Sciences (CAFLS) offers the degree in collaboration with the Peace Corps Master's International Program. Graduate students enrolled at Clemson will be required to complete 24 credits of academic study on campus towards their MS-AES (Master of Science- Applied Economics & Statistics) in the first year.  The students then participate in 27 months of overseas Peace Corps service in an agricultural or economic-related post.  Upon successful completion of Peace Corps service, the students will need to complete a final semester on campus before being awarded an MS-AES degree.
