Description
The School of Natural Resources and Environment (SNRE) has designed an MI Program for students with an interest in environmental issues and Peace Corps service. Students can earn a Natural Resources and Environment (MS) or Landscape Architecture (MLA) degree. Students spend two academic terms working towards fulfilling their MS or MLA degree requirements, then leave during the summer months (May-August) for their Peace Corps service. After their service ends, students return to SNRE in September (Fall term) and finish remaining academic obligations.
The capstone/opus work (6 credits total) required of all MS and MLA students will be granted for time spent in Peace Corps service.
Requirements
A demonstrated interest in the environment, international development, and community service; full SNRE application, including official test scores, statement of purpose, resume, three letters of recommendation.
