Benefits

Financial support through endowed fellowships is available to fellows on a competitive basis. Fellowships are generally one- or two-year graduate assistantships paying a monthly stipend and covering tuition costs, or are tuition-only. The number of fellowships available may change from year to year.

Description

The Evans School's Master of Public Administration (MPA) program emphasizes broad-based fundamentals in policy analysis and management, and allows students to pursue a field of specialization through an area of focus. Focus areas include international development; metropolitan and regional policy; social policy: poverty, education, and social welfare; science and technology policy; public and financial management; evaluation; leadership, management, and decision-making; nonprofit management and philanthropy; and environment and natural resource management.

Fellows are also required to fulfill a community service requirement through the Public Service Clinics, which link the skills and services of second-year Master of Public Administration (MPA) students with the real-world needs of nonprofit and public agencies. They will work specifically with nonprofits and public agencies that serve vulnerable populations to evaluate programs, conduct strategic planning and policy analysis, and develop new program designs.
